Danae's New Pet

We have a pet monkey. I wish I had a picture to show you all but I don't. Honestly, I don't even know what he looks like because he exists in Danae's imagination. She only says "he's brown and little but he's kind of big too." But, he definitely lives with us and stays in her room all day. I don't think they have a very good relationship because she's always saying "the monkey's gonna get me" and she slams the door to her room to make sure he doesn't get out.

Dwayne says he never had any imaginary friends. I guess that's because he had brothers. I definitely had an imaginary. He was a boy named May-May. I don't know where that name came from but he was very REAL...just like Danae's monkey.

I had an imaginary friend but I don't remember her name. My mom told me I used to tell her don't close the door to the car my friend hadn't come in yet.

lol that is too cute. Yeah I had 2 imaginary friends. Moe and Stay. I'm not sure where the names came from either...but my mom became worried and told me they couldn't move to Florida with us. lol.

Seeing these special people is a sign of a bright mind. I'll have you know that your daughter and you are apart of a small community of gifted learners. I learned this picking up my gifted certification this past year. This is a good thing, so celebrate the monkey thing!! :)

Yesterday, I had something to do so the kids went to their old sitter's house for a few hours. We got home later than intended so I knew I would be rushing to prepare dinner, get them bathed, and settled for the night. Here's what really happened. In Memory...

Staff Sergeant Javares Washington was killed in Kuwait. He was my cousin. My cousin died yesterday...in Kuwait...and I'm so very sad. I feel like I can't breathe. My heart is broken. We grew up like siblings. His mom had him at a very young age. She wasn't ready to take care of him. So, he lived with us for years. He was like my brother. And now, I'm in shock. I'm going to miss him so much. The military has only said he was in a government vehicle on patrol and it flipped over. We don't know what caused the flip or anything. I want to go home. He was married and had two children. His son, Jayden, is 6 years old and looks just like him. His daughter, Tristin, is 9 months old. My heart is broken.

Love at First Sight

I am absolutely in love with this little girl. Danica was born with a heart murmur but we found out today it's no longer there. We are so happy with this little perfect being and can't wait to get to know her more.
