Aftershocks

On Monday afternoon and Tuesday afternoon, I felt a little weak and dizzy. Yesterday was so bad, that I had to catch myself in the library because I really thought I might hit the floor.

Of course, I called the doctor. The culprit? That pesky little stomach virus that plagued my family over last weekend. While the rest of my family got over it in about 24 hours, it wasn't quite the same for me. I got over the vomiting and diarrhea part (I know TMI) pretty easily. But, the result was that my blood-sugar levels are now out of wack and my blood pressure dropped. Both have resulted in dizziness. Everything I ate right after the sickness went straight to nourishing the baby which meant I got her leftovers.

***NOTE: Yes, I said HER. It's wishful thinking. I don't know anything yet.***

Anyway, my blood pressure is always dangerously low during pregnancy. I was almost hospitalized during my first pregnancy when it dropped to 80/41. So, they're giving me a week to get stabilized and if nothing changes I will likely be hospitalized. So, pray for me because I can NOT go in the hospital until February when it's time to welcome my new little one into the world.

This sucks but they did give me little tips to help bounce back.

Wishful thinking huh? I hope mine is a girl too so they can be best friends like Danae and Khaitlyn. But yeah make sure you keep snacks handy to keep your blood sugar up. Orange juice is good if you can tolerate it, that's what they tell diabetics to drink if their blood sugar gets low.

I will definitely keep you in my prayers and I know both you and the baby will be just fine. Drink plenty of fluids especially Gatorades and Powerades drinks with electrolytes. When you think you have had enough to drink then drink more. The fluids will increase your blood pressure and the carbs and sugar will keep your blood sugar stable. Stay away from high sugar drinks though because they tend to increase your sugar too high and then you drop too low.

Sorry I have no medical advice to leave but I will supply you with a case of gatorade and orange juice. I will pray that your levels balance out cause I don't visit the hospital when you are sick. (J/K);0) Love, Jenise

You all are in my prayers. You may need to get some help from family and friends during this pregnancy. As you already know, it is a world of difference when you have a child and pregnant versus just being pregnant, and now you have 2 children and pregnant, which means a lot of energy that you probably don't have.

Motherhood

Yesterday, I had something to do so the kids went to their old sitter's house for a few hours. We got home later than intended so I knew I would be rushing to prepare dinner, get them bathed, and settled for the night. Here's what really happened. As soon as we entered the house, Brayden started running around saying "Mommy, I have to pee". So we rush into the bathroom and as soon as his pants are unbuttoned, he starts peeing on himself. I clean him up and decide they can play in the tub while I start preparing dinner. As soon as we get to the kitchen, Danica throws up all over me, herself, and the floor. So, I take her to our bathroom and bathe her. Before I can get her pj's buttoned up, Brayden starts screaming "I have to pee!" Because he just went all over the bathroom floor, I'm a little perplexed. I run to their bathroom anyway only to find out he didn't have to pee, he had to poop and had already dropped two bombs in the bathtub where his s...

In Memory...

Staff Sergeant Javares Washington was killed in Kuwait. He was my cousin. My cousin died yesterday...in Kuwait...and I'm so very sad. I feel like I can't breathe. My heart is broken. We grew up like siblings. His mom had him at a very young age. She wasn't ready to take care of him. So, he lived with us for years. He was like my brother. And now, I'm in shock. I'm going to miss him so much. The military has only said he was in a government vehicle on patrol and it flipped over. We don't know what caused the flip or anything. I want to go home. He was married and had two children. His son, Jayden, is 6 years old and looks just like him. His daughter, Tristin, is 9 months old. My heart is broken.

Love at First Sight

I am absolutely in love with this little girl. Danica was born with a heart murmur but we found out today it's no longer there. We are so happy with this little perfect being and can't wait to get to know her more.
