Random again

I just got off the phone with my dad. Is it bad that I hate talking to him on the phone? He repeats himself a lot and will tell me stories I've heard 25 times already. I want to say that but I know it will come out rude and I don't want to hurt his feelings. He'll be here on Friday to spend a week with us.

My brother-in-law and his family aren't coming anymore and I'm so sad about it. The bad economy is hitting them pretty hard so they don't want to spend anymore than they have to. They have 4 children (and one on the way) to provide for so I understand. His wife and I keep sending sad texts to each other though.

Why did Brayden come in my room this morning to tell me he peed in his bed. Then he said, can I get in your bed with you because my bed is all wet. Um, no, don't you still have pee on you?

Besides my kids, I have bought no other Christmas presents. I need to get on that this week. Let me know if any of you have found good things for dads, husbands, stepmothers, and little people.

I also promised my 16 year old cousin I would teach her how to drive. So, I'll be spending a lot of time with her over Christmas break. Her parents don't have the patience for it. I hope I don't regret this.

Remember helping me drive? As long as she doesn't cruise through a red lightlike I did...just saying you had incredible patience.

Yesterday, I had something to do so the kids went to their old sitter's house for a few hours. We got home later than intended so I knew I would be rushing to prepare dinner, get them bathed, and settled for the night. Here's what really happened. In Memory...

Staff Sergeant Javares Washington was killed in Kuwait. He was my cousin. My cousin died yesterday...in Kuwait...and I'm so very sad. I feel like I can't breathe. My heart is broken. We grew up like siblings. His mom had him at a very young age. She wasn't ready to take care of him. So, he lived with us for years. He was like my brother. And now, I'm in shock. I'm going to miss him so much. The military has only said he was in a government vehicle on patrol and it flipped over. We don't know what caused the flip or anything. I want to go home. He was married and had two children. His son, Jayden, is 6 years old and looks just like him. His daughter, Tristin, is 9 months old. My heart is broken.

Love at First Sight

I am absolutely in love with this little girl. Danica was born with a heart murmur but we found out today it's no longer there. We are so happy with this little perfect being and can't wait to get to know her more.
