More About Me

I don't really have much to talk about so I'm going to do a little something I saw on someone else's blog. You may learn something new about me or you may not.

I am not: someone who will walk on egg shells around anyone. I can't handle overly sensitive people
I hear: Diego singing about a humpback whale
I regret: not finishing college when I went the first time
I care: more about people's feelings than most people think
I always: think optimistically about everything
I long to: have a flat stomach again
I feel alone: never because there's always someone in my face
I hide: and eat chocolate sometimes since Dwayne doesn't want me to while I'm pregnant.
I drive: very safely although Dwayne and Danae tell me I drive too fast sometimes
I sing: to my children every day
I dance: with Brayden almost every day
I write: on my blog when I feel like it
I breathe: because God has not stopped me from living yet
I play: basketball with the kids every day
I miss: my mother and my cousin Javares
I search: on Google almost daily
I say: "I love you" to my husband and kids every day
I feel: extremely blessed to have the life I have
I succeed: by letting God direct my path

That was cool. I am with you on the flat stomach. I am going to work on getting it back now that we have had our 2nd and hopefully final child.

Motherhood

Yesterday, I had something to do so the kids went to their old sitter's house for a few hours. We got home later than intended so I knew I would be rushing to prepare dinner, get them bathed, and settled for the night. Here's what really happened. As soon as we entered the house, Brayden started running around saying "Mommy, I have to pee". So we rush into the bathroom and as soon as his pants are unbuttoned, he starts peeing on himself. I clean him up and decide they can play in the tub while I start preparing dinner. As soon as we get to the kitchen, Danica throws up all over me, herself, and the floor. In Memory...

Staff Sergeant Javares Washington was killed in Kuwait. He was my cousin. My cousin died yesterday...in Kuwait...and I'm so very sad. I feel like I can't breathe. My heart is broken. We grew up like siblings. His mom had him at a very young age. She wasn't ready to take care of him. So, he lived with us for years. He was like my brother. And now, I'm in shock. I'm going to miss him so much. The military has only said he was in a government vehicle on patrol and it flipped over. We don't know what caused the flip or anything. I want to go home. He was married and had two children. His son, Jayden, is 6 years old and looks just like him. His daughter, Tristin, is 9 months old. My heart is broken.

Love at First Sight

I am absolutely in love with this little girl. Danica was born with a heart murmur but we found out today it's no longer there. We are so happy with this little perfect being and can't wait to get to know her more.
